Patio Installation in Lincoln
Patio Installers Near Me for Sloping and Terraced Gardens
Affordable Driveways & Patios Ltd design and lay new patios across Lincoln, from compact rear yards behind Victorian terraces to wide family gardens on newer estates. Where a garden climbs or drops away from the house, as so many here do, we level the ground properly or build a raised patio with retaining walls and steps. You get a flat, usable space, not a slab that tilts towards your back door.
Every patio starts with a site visit to check levels, soil and drainage. We dig out to the correct depth, lay a compacted sub-base and set a fall away from the property so rainwater clears quickly. That matters on the heavier clay found in lower-lying parts of the city. Slabs are then bedded on full mortar and the joints pointed for a clean, solid finish.
Choosing between porcelain, sandstone or concrete paving? We'll bring samples, explain how each performs and give you a fixed, itemised quote with no obligation. Pale buff and silver-grey tones sit naturally beside local limestone, while darker porcelain suits contemporary extensions and garden rooms.

We supply and lay patio slabs in a wide range of sizes, textures and colours. If a full replacement isn't needed, we can bring existing paving back with patio cleaning, re-pointing and resealing.

Indian Sandstone Paving in Lincoln
Our team at Affordable Driveways & Patios Ltd design and lay Indian sandstone patios in Lincoln, from small courtyard terraces to large entertaining areas. Natural stone gives a softer, more characterful look than concrete. In a city built on pale limestone, buff and silver-grey sandstone sits comfortably beside older brick and stone homes. How the patio is built matters as much as how it looks. We excavate to the correct depth, lay a compacted sub-base and bed every slab on full mortar. Each patio has a fall away from the house so rain drains off instead of pooling. On sloping gardens, we add sandstone steps and retaining walls to create level, usable space.
Sandstone Paving Slabs for Lincoln Patios
We supply and lay a full range of natural sandstone, including:
- Kandla Grey Sandstone
- Raj Green Sandstone
- Riven Sandstone
- Sawn Sandstone
- Sandstone Circles
- Sandstone Steps
Choose riven slabs for a traditional, textured finish, or sawn stone for clean, modern lines. Both come in single sizes or in mixed patio packs laid in a random pattern.
Sandstone Paving Options in Lincoln LN1 LN2, LN3
A sandstone patio in Lincoln LN1 LN2, LN3 suits both period and contemporary homes, depending on the colour, finish and layout. As a natural material, no two slabs are identical, and the variation in tone and veining gives each patio its own character. Indian sandstone is dense and hard-wearing, and stands up well to foot traffic, garden furniture and frost. After laying, we can apply an Indian sandstone sealer to reduce staining from moss, leaves and spills. For driveways, we use thicker, calibrated slabs on a concrete base built to take the weight of vehicles.
Why choose a Sandstone Driveway in Lincoln?
